The holiday season is known for bringing a lot of hustle and bustle along when it arrives. The baking, traveling, shopping, hurrying—it’s no wonder stress follows with its arrival. So can you imagine how much more stressful the holidays are for a survivor who has just left a domestic violence relationship? No home, bare pockets, and wide-eyed little children wondering how Santa will find them this year?
You can help these moms make sure their kids get to still be kids this holiday season.
When you participate in Adopt-A-Family for the holidays, you’re helping survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV) and their children receive hope and joy! YOU empower WC&S residents and clients to shop for their children and provide them with the ultimate gift of choice.
“Your generosity makes us feel like we have community support. To know that you have set aside time and money to make us feel like we are not alone is an absolutely beautiful gift.” – Former Resident
When you donate a Target, WalMart, or Visa gift card, you give survivors the opportunity to delight in the experience of purchasing and giving presents to their children, stress free.
How Your Generosity Makes a Difference
We set a goal to support 400 survivors of intimate partner violence this past holiday season and because of your generous giving, you provided 679 survivors with gifts during the holidays. That means you helped an additional 394 survivors feel holiday morning joy than you did last year!
Are you ready to make the holidays warm and bright for even more survivors this year?
