We offer emergency shelter for those in immediate danger.
When you and your family are out of immediate danger, we have other programs and services to help support your entire journey.
Emergency Shelter provides safety for adults and their family (children and pets) in immediate, lethal danger. Core services for Shelter residents include safety planning, goal planning, and advocacy for housing, career, health, and mental health.
Refugees, Immigrants, and Limited-English (RIL) Team is multilingual and works at two levels – assisting individual clients and advocating for systems-level improvements. For more information call 412-687-8005.
Support Groups are offered to survivors who have exited our Shelter as well as those who have not needed Shelter services. Groups support building life skills, recognizing reproductive coercion, foster wellness, develop healthy relationships, offer LGBTQIA+ support, and more.
Children’s Program is a safe, welcoming, nurturing space where child survivors of intimate partner violence can heal from trauma. Children’s Counseling is also offered for children ages 5-17 for issues related to violence they may have witnessed and/or experienced.
Individual Therapy helps survivors to cope with the effects of Intimate Partner Violence, including depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and anxiety. For more information individual therapy call 412-687-8005.
Legal Advocacy helps survivors navigate the court system by providing information, resources, counseling, and free ongoing support. Legal advocates guide survivors and accompany them to court hearings.
The Victims Compensation Advocate helps survivors of intimate partner violence file for Victims Compensation and providing other services as needed. For more information call 412-687-8005.
