Honor/Memorial Gifts

Celebrate an important milestone, such as a birthday or anniversary, or remember a loved one through an honor or memorial gift to WC&S. Encourage friends, family, and colleagues to invest in the safety of survivors in lieu of material gifts.
Cards with artwork from survivors or their children will be sent to those who you would like notified of your generosity if contact information is provided when the gift is made.
Stocks or Appreciated Securities
WC&S gladly accepts gifts of stocks or appreciated securities throughout the year.

Donor-Advised Funds
A Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) is a convenient and tax-efficient way to support Women’s Center & Shelter (WC&S) and make a lasting difference in the lives of survivors of domestic violence and their children. A DAF allows you to donate money or assets, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants to nonprofits over time.

If you have a DAF with a community foundation, investment firm, or charitable sponsor such as Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, Vanguard Charitable, or another provider, you can easily recommend a grant to WC&S.
How it works:
- Recommend a grant to Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh, a qualified 501(c)(3) public charity.
- Provide the following information to your DAF sponsor:
